Darryl Wareing

Darryl L. Wareing

Founder: November 9, 1938 – January 6, 2005

Darryl Wareing started Decca in 1984 and was responsible for the overall direction and long-term planning until his untimely passing on January 6, 2005. During his tenure, Decca successfully completed more than 140 projects throughout the Southwestern United States totaling over $300 Million. Darryl is fondly remembered for his candor, fairness, dedication to his family, friends and commitment to his work. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met and the company he created.

Mike Wareing

Mike Wareing

Mr. Wareing oversees all management and financial functions including estimating, purchasing, accounting, and field operations for Decca Builders, Inc. He is responsible for all client contract negotiations; oversees the solicitation and attainment of new construction projects; prepares and/or reviews cost estimates and bids; and negotiates and/or reviews subcontracts, change orders and purchase orders. He conducts on-site inspections of all projects under construction; holds regular meetings with staff to monitor schedules and ensure construction quality; interfaces with clients, architects, engineers, and professional consultants; regularly reviews all budgets on projects under construction; reviews all accounting reports; and authorizes all major administrative expenditures.

Mr. Wareing is directly responsible for the overall direction and long-term planning of Decca Builders, Inc. From 1977 to 1984 Mr. Wareing was employed by Case Construction Company, Inc. and specialized in final completion stages of apartment projects, office buildings, and warehouses from the drywall stage to owner acceptance. He supervised tenant improvements for multiple retail shops and coordinated all warranty repairs for completed projects.

Mr. Wareing has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Arizona State University.

John Wareing

Mr. Wareing is responsible for the construction and completion of all projects. In this capacity, he reviews quality control, project scheduling and submittals; assists in the resolution of technical and subcontractor issues; establishes and maintains procedures and standards to ensure consistent field administration; and ensures owner acceptance. He conducts on-site inspections of all projects under construction; holds regular meetings with staff to monitor schedules and ensure construction quality; and interfaces with clients, architects, engineers, city officials and professional consultants. Mr. Wareing also possesses an advanced knowledge of computer software including CAD and is also responsible for accounting, project management, scheduling and network systems maintenance.

Mr. Wareing is also directly responsible for the overall direction and long-term planning of Decca Builders, Inc. Mr. Wareing has successfully managed the completion of projects throughout Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas.

From 1977 to 1984 Mr. Wareing was a Superintendent for Case Construction Company, Inc., and specialized in final completion stages of apartment projects, office buildings, and warehouses from the drywall stage to owner acceptance. He supervised tenant improvements for multiple retail shops and coordinated all warranty repairs for completed projects.

Mr. Wareing majored in Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering at Arizona State University.

Kris Zeno

Kristen Zeno

Ms. Zeno is responsible for all financial aspects including strategic planning, cash flow, profit and loss reporting and forecasting, budgeting, receivables, payables, job cost, and supervision of accounting and general office employees. Ms. Zeno establishes and maintains accounting and administrative policies and procedures as well as implements standard reporting for job status and employee performance. Ms Zeno takes an active role in the overall direction and long-term planning of Decca Builders, Inc.

Ms. Zeno returned to Decca in 2002 after leaving the Del Webb Corporation following their merger with Pulte Homes. From 1993 to 2002, Ms. Zeno was employed by the Del Webb Corporation and held several financial positions in both Arizona and Nevada including Director of Central Operations and Controller. As Director of Central Operations, Ms. Zeno directed the accounting centralization initiative of eleven divisions operating in seven states. She assisted with transitional issues resulting from the merger of Pulte Homes and Del Webb including the alignment of two unique charts of accounts and managed the development of a computer program to eliminate manual consolidation of financial statements from the two separate accounting systems. As Controller, Ms. Zeno managed all the financial aspects of a division completing over 400 semi-custom homes annually.

From 1990 to 1993, Ms. Zeno worked for Decca in the marketing and accounting department.

Ms. Zeno holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Northern Arizona University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Andrew Wareing

Andrew Wareing

Mr. Wareing is responsible for the construction supervision of various projects. In this capacity, he monitors quality control and project scheduling, assists in the resolution of technical and subcontractor issues; establishes and maintains procedures and standards to ensure consistent field administration; and ensures project punch list completion and Owner acceptance.

Mr. Wareing specializes in the new construction of apartment projects, office buildings, warehouses as well as tenant improvements. Mr. Wareing has successfully completed and/or assisted in the completion of more than 75+ projects throughout Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas.

From 1987 to 1990, Mr. Wareing worked as an electrician for Eagle Electric. He joined Decca as an Assistant Superintendent in 1990 and became a General Field Superintendent in 1993.

Little Nugget; the joy of the office. If he's not guarding the front door, he's either sleeping and snoring like a grown man or you can find him roaming around looking for a treat. He's the real MVP of Decca.
